What is the KVV.mobil app?

The KVV.mobil app – powered by moovel – offers you as a customer of the Karlsruhe Transport Authority (KVV) the benefits of a user-friendly, innovative app for finding, booking, and paying for connections from the KVV as well as bicycles from bike sharing provider Fächerrad (nextbike).
Besides, the app shows you the vehicles of stadtmobil around your location. However if you want to reserve and book a stadtmobil vehicle you need to have the stadtmobil app installed additionally.

What can I use the KVV.mobil app for?

The app shows connections and departure times for buses and trains from all 1,900 KVV stations, rental bikes from Fächerrad (nextbike) as well as vehicles from stadtmobil. No matter if you want to travel by bus, train or bicycle, you can book and pay for tickets and bicycles right in the app.
Single, day, and group tickets are available in the app.

Do I have to register?

Even if you don’t register, the KVV.mobil app will always find the best route to your destination. However, you have to register with us in order to complete your bookings for KVV tickets.

How do I register?

The KVV.mobil app offers a simple registration without a password by e-mail or with your Facebook or Google account. Once you have registered, it’s very easy to use. You can enter and edit all the necessary information right in the app.

How do I book a ticket?

The app automatically locates you via GPS. You only need to enter your desired destination and select the suggested connection which fits you best.
If you tap on one of the station symbols on the map, you can buy a ticket directly, select the payment option, and set off. As soon as you’ve bought it, the ticket appears in the app as an animated streetcar. You can also search for and book bicycles from Fächerrad (nextbike) just as easily.
Furthermore, you can search for the vehicles from stadtmobil. If you want to reserve and open them, you also need the stadtmobil app with a filled out profile. Once you have done that, KVV.mobil will open the stadtmobil app when you are about to reserve a car, enabling you to do so with only one click.

How do I get help or give feedback?

If you have a question, simply tap on the menu in the upper left corner and then on “Feedback”. Here you can enter your message and send it to us. The app also automatically creates a screenshot that you can comment on in order to help us quickly find a solution to your problem.

How do I pay in the app?

You can conveniently pay for your bookings in the app using PayPal or a major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and prepaid credit cards from these providers). Just save it under “Payment Details” in the KVV.mobil app. You can also create multiple payment profiles for a single account.

How do I get my invoice?

Right after you buy a ticket with the KVV.mobil app, you will receive an e-mail with the corresponding invoice (per booking) in PDF format. You can also enter a billing address in the app.

What happens with my data?

We store the data you enter and use it to provide the services we offer. We only share data with our partner services, such as Fächerrad (nextbike), if you use the KVV.mobil app to make a booking with that respective provider. Our partner service only receives the data required to process the service you book.

What if I forget my PIN?

Not a problem – just send a quick e-mail to hello.kvv@moovel.com, and we’ll reset your PIN right away.

How do I cancel my account?

To cancel your account, please send your notice of cancelation to hallo.kvv@moovel.com from the e-mail address you registered at moovel. Please note that your KVV account will also be canceled in this case.
